Topic: HDSPe MADI Internal Latency on Linux

Hi,

I have a HDSPe PCIe MADI Card running on Linux (ALSA + Jack). I used the jack_latency application (http://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/) to test the round trip latency (with an external BNC loopback cable).

I measured an additional latency (additional latency to the one caused by the I/O Jack buffers) at all sample rates, which is dependent on if the card is running in single/double/quad speed mode:
- ~37 samples at single speed
- ~69 samples at double speed
- ~47 samples at quad speed

What can be the cause for this added latency?

Thanks,

Vince
