Topic: Fireface UFX+ MADI channels on DAW

Hello,

is it possible to record the MADI channels fed into the UFX+ via USB on any laptop with a mutlichannel DAW? If not, how (MADIface USB/XT)?
Does ProTools see those channels? Does Cubase see these channels?

Pro Tools is limited to the first 32 I/O channels with non-AVID hardware. Any other DAW can access all the channels directly.

BTW, can someone here post the actual input and output list of UFX+ in the order as presented to ASIO, so one can see which 32 are the first?

@Tobias T: https://www.forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=23759 Pro Tools users aren't really RME's target customers for UFX+. MADIface USB works fine - but only MADI Channels 1-32 of course, into Pro Tools. Other DAWs don't have this silly AVIDism.

@Jeff: it's not about non-AVID-Hardware, but the limitation applies to all ASIO interfaces, no matter which vendor.
