Topic: RME Digi 96 PST Latency

Dear forum-members,

I own a Digi 96/8 PST PCI card, which is unused at the moment. I am wondering whether it is worth setting up a 32 Windows system, since the card does not work under Windows 64 bit. It would be worth it, if I can get latencies below 2,7 ms, like the new RME cards offer. I need super low latency for piano playing using virtual instruments.

Looking at the manual https://archiv.rme-audio.de/download/968pse.pdf, Page 11, a screenshot is shown, where the minimum setting for the driver appears to be 2,7 ms, using a buffer size of 256 samples and 96 kHz sampling freq.

Is this still valid for the latest driver?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's valid, there are no lower settings. Mind that this card is around 17 years old now... :-)
