Topic: Digiface and a new computer

Hi,

I have a Digiface that has been running flawlessly for the past 15 years or so.... and I still want to run for 15 more because it works great with my Yamaha 01V. It's all I need.

But, the computer that I was using with that card just died and I cannot resurrect it, the board is toasted.

Looking to buy a new computer, all of them have PCI express slots, instead of the old PCI 2.0 that my Digiface needs.

So, the question here is whether anybody knows of a particular motherboard/desktop model that has old PCI 2.0 slots OR if I could run something like this: Baaqii A259 PCIE PCI-Express PCI-E X1 X4 X8 X16 To PCI Bus Riser Card Adapter Converter New?

Any suggestions?

BTW, I'm in the US.

Thanks,

Regards,
Hipo

Get yourself the HDSPe PCI card used...

Or look around - several posts with bus riser cards in this forum.

Re: Digiface and a new computer

Hi,

Thanks, In the end I found a Dell computer with one old PCI slot that hopefully will keep me 5 more years with the current setup which helps me to focus just in the music and not in the equipment.
