Topic: Question about latency with ADAT

Hi,

I'm using UCX with ADA8200. Works great, but I wonder since UCX has faster AD/DA converters than Behringer, does it mean plugging into UCX will make the sound come earlier by the difference in (AD) converter speed ? Or does it get sync-ed somehow ?

Same for outputs, will sound come out faster from UCX than from Behringer ?

Yes and yes. For most real-life applications, this is irrelevant, though.

Yes latency compensation for the ADA will be slightly of. But it is very little, it will not cause timing issues but it will cause phasing issues. Therefore it is advised to have phase linked channels on the same interface.
