Topic: Fireface UC - ASIO driver only avaliable for the administrator.

After reinstalling my PC, I receive errors when trying to use the Fireface audio device.

Setup:

Windows 7 x64 SP1 (default language is German, if that matters)

Fireface UC latest firmware 123, latest USB driver 1.098.

I usually install all drivers and software packages using the 'Administrator' account and if asked I allways select 'for all users'.

I can use the ASIO driver if:

- I'm logged in as Administrator
- I'm logged in as user with UAC completely turned off
- I'm logged in as user and select 'run as administrator'

otherwise i get:

- Digicheck in ASIO mode 'error 4' (Hardware mode OK)
- Cubase 'cannot load ASIO driver'
- WinAudioMLS 'unknown device error'

ASIO is only avaliable for the superuser 'Administrator', even the default user with some administrative rights cannot use the ASIO device.

This reminds me of old WinXP problems, but it should not happen with Windows 7 and it should not happen using the above mentioned installation method.

I removed and reinstalled this and an older version (1.089) driver, but the problem still exists.

Maybe someone else had this problem too and can point me in the right direction to solve it.

Thanks
Udo
