Hello,
        I just purchased my first HDSP(e) AIO card, and also a Neumann TLM 102 condenser mic. My purpose is to record acoustic guitars and vocals(not necessarily simultaneously but good to be able to) and do some voice-over work. I'm thinking of using the Studio one Prime software for now for mixing, mastering and such. Again, I'm a newbie so I didn't know I needed mic preamps for this, so on asking a Guitar Center tech and some Google/RME forum/Gearslutz  searches, I'm leaning towards getting a hybrid preamp(Tube and Solid state) that has optical outs, that provides great quality for home studio type works, and that doesn't charge me an arm and a leg.
Any suggestions and/or pointers in brand and model of a preamp and any other gear(along with the above setup) that would help me record great sounding audio will be greatly appreciated!
