Topic: Raydat + Focusrite Clarett Octopre

Hi guys

I'm having a hard time configuring this set-up:

RME Raydat + Focusrite Clarett Octopre with 2 ADAT cables

(Win 10, Reaper)

Both interfaces seem to work,
in Reaper I can see the Raydat adat inputs,
but no signal in Totalmix or Reaper.

In the Hammerfall DSP settings all inputs show "No Lock"...

I'm not getting response from Focusrite, so any help would be appreciated.

1- Are both interfaces set to the same sample rate ?
2- Did you set the RayDAT to clock source internal ?
3- Do you see "red light" at the end of both ADAT cable if you connect the cable only
    on one side at the sending port of RayDAT and Octopre ?
4- Did you configure the Octopre to receive its clock from its ADAT input ?
5- Did you check the TOSLINK cable, replace it with another one or can you flip the cables under the assumption/hope that only one might be broken ?
6-Which ADAT ports are you using (1..4) ? Remember, ADAT4 can be set to optical SPDIF, you need ADAT protocol.

I was checking everything you said,
then in the Hammerfall settings I randomly clicked off the AEB / TEB box,
and one of the cables started syncing on ADAT2.

Now I have the signal in Totalmix and Reaper...

Still have to figure out how to monitor the whole thing,
but for now, thanks so much for your help.

Yes this could not work, because these knobs are for enabling external expansion boards to act as ADAT1 and ADAT2.
This disables or simply bypasses the normal ADAT1 and ADAT2 connectors.

This is described in the handbook and usually not a default setting, otherwise I would have stumbled over this as well.
So it seems to me you activated it "by accident" in the past and forgot later, that you modified the default settings.
