Topic: Raydat expansion board hardware fitting

Ok this is a bit of a weird question.
When I install the raydat daughter boards and word clock expansion board they don’t fit in an expansion slot and are only held by the thumbscrew. The bottom of the card is not held properly and frequently when I try to insert my adat cables the board just falls into the computer! I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround to prevent this such as maybe bending the bottom of the card so it latches into the outside of the case. Sorry if it’s not very clear

Strange, never had these kind of issues with this case:

RayDAT and all extension boards including WC board sit absolutely tight in my system: http://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/inde … mponenten/

Re: Raydat expansion board hardware fitting

Humm, I guess it’s my case that doesn’t have appropriate notches for inserting the bottom of the card.
It’s a server Phantek Enthoo Primo case and replacing it at this stage would be problematic. It’s rather nice otherwise. I have a bad feeling this is going to involve some DIY metalwork and it’s not my forte.

Re: Raydat expansion board hardware fitting

For €235 not so nice, I would contact seller and vendor.

Re: Raydat expansion board hardware fitting

The pics of that case clearly shows the holes to insert the bottom of the card's bracket. If they are positioned too low to take onh the card's bracket then bad design...

Maybe a photo would explain the problem better.
