Topic: Fireface UFX/TotalMix App makes noise when shutting iPad

The other day we used an iPad Mini 2 to do a live sound gig with a FF UFX and TotalMix.  Every time I shut the iPad the Fireface outputted a loud splat from the main outputs.  Is this a known bug?

Also, is there a way to disable double clicking to avoid accidentally 'pushing' a fader up to unity?  Any other tips for using the iPad as a live digital mixer?

There is no known bug. IMHO you heard a standard sound of the iPad for that action.

Options, Preferences, Disable double tap fader actions. Really easy to find...

Tip: do not shut it off. Get the Apple Lightning to USB 3 adapter and charge the iPad while using it with the UFX.

Thanks MC.  Looks like it was iOS's helpful 'Lock Sound' option!

We use a genuine Apple adapter but I didn't realise that doubles as a charger - v cool smile

I have no clue what 'genuine' means here. Most probably the old standard adapter without charging. I wrote about this one:
