Topic: MADIFace to Otari FS-96

Hi, I am trying to connect my PCI-Express MADIFace to an OTARI FS-96 formatconverter. MADI out from Laptop to FS-96 MADI in. FS-96 should clock to its MADI input, but that doesn't work. The FS-96 seems to require a wordclock in addition to the MADI input. At the moment the only way to get it to work is to set the FS-96 as clock master (48k internal), connect its own wordclock to the MADI sync input, connect MADI out to RME in, clock RME interface on MADI in, and then MADI from RME back into the FS-96.

Obviously I would like to have the OTARI simply sync on its MADI input.

I couldn't find any info about the FS-96' optional MADI board, maybe there are DIP-switches or something?

So is there anyone that has experience with this setup? Is what I want at all possible?

Thanks!

Carl.
