Topic: problem with analogue outputs showing on hdspe AIO + AO4S expansion

Hi guys,

We just installed a HDSPe AIO + AO4S expansion and are having problems with the analogue outputs showing up.

When I go to the hammerfall settings and select what outputs to use, I can see analogue outputs from 1 to 8, but wnhen I select all of  them something goes wrong.
When I try to activate output 7-8, I see the number of outputs changing to '4', but when I hit 'OK' the number changes to '3'.
When I turn back to the settings, channels 7-8 have been automatically been deselected...

I tried removing all drivers, installing an older set of drivers, removing the cards an dinstalling agin to a differents slot, but the problem remains.

In the windows device manager, outputs 7-8 do not show as well

Any ideas??

The AO4S has 4 outputs. so only enable 1 to 4 I would think.

I suppose they are named L/R, so 1-2, 3-4, ... no?

No the AO4S has 4 mono outs. So 1 2 3 4

OK I muszt say this is very 'grey' and unclear on the website...
So then we are having a problem because we need 4 analogue stereo outputs!
Is there a possibility to use the phones output as a 4th output?
I suppose all signals are routed to the phones output? so can we undo that and use the phones output as a normal stereo output??

First I am a RME user too, not from RME.
Good news yes phones is a separate output.
You can route anything you want to any output using totalmixfx. So you can have 4 separate stereo outputs.
If you are not familiar with totalmix watch the tutorials, it is a great and flexible mixer.
