Topic: ProTools Expert Audio Interface Technical Test Including Baby Face Pro

Pro Tools expert have done a video group test comparing 4 audio interfaces using an Audio Precision testing rig.

Skipping to the results the dynamic range figure for the BFP seems suspect, is there an error in their testing methodology? Also the latency figure for 96khz is that right?

Somewhere, yes. The BF Pro has 115 dB Dynamic Range (RMS unweighted), not 109, and I have no clue how they managed to get that result. We always measure the BF Pro without power supply, and there is (and should) be no difference if used with external power supply or without. 115 dB has also been confirmed from other testers with AP555 systems (for example Studio Magazin 12/2015 measured 115.5 dB).

RTL has been measured at 48 sample buffer size (96 for 96 kHz), the lowest one can set at the BF Pro. It seems they used the lowest offered buffer setting at any device.
