Topic: W10 1709 USB Audio Class 2 Drivers for ADI-2 DAC

My understanding is that this unit is supposed to be class 2 compliant but I can't get it to work in W10 1709 without installing the ASIO driver.  Windows detects it as a class 2 audio device and installs the Microsoft class 2 driver but then gives "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" as the device status.

This is an absolutely fresh install that I rebuilt for testing.

Is this an issue with the ADI-2 DAC not being fully class compliant or the Microsoft driver?

Obviously the Microsoft UAC2 driver is far from being finished. Simple proof: MacOS, iOS and Linux work...

OK.  I'll try a couple Linux distros on my test machine and see how it goes.

It worked just fine on Ubuntu and Mint.  Don't have any Apple devices to test with though.

Looks like it's probably the Microsoft driver.

Thanks.

Well, it was the MS driver, but it is hard to blame them as there is no real 'standard' of implementation behind the 'standard'. We updated our Class Compliant core to be compatible to Windows 10:
