Topic: Multiface2 Faulty? (cracks and pops)

Hi,

Little while ago i noticed when i was recording from my drumstation that there was pops & cracks in the sound.
I thought maybe it was faulty drumstation.

Now i recently bought couple other synths and it's the same behaviour, pops and cracks.
If I connect them with my mixer, there are no pops and cracks.

Besides that, sometimes the multiface isn't being recognized at startup after a reboot it's visible.

Clock is set correctly. It doesn't matter also wich latency I set in my daw.
The cracks and pops are also hearable in an basic project with 1 midi track for synth without any effects.

So i think my multiface is faulty?

Re: Multiface2 Faulty? (cracks and pops)

More details about the setup, please. Does the issue change with higher latency settings?

Re: Multiface2 Faulty? (cracks and pops)

The PC has a AMD Ryzen 1700 CPU.
The motherboard is ASUS B350 Prime with 16Gb of ram (crucial)
The multiface2 and hdspe card  are +- 7-8 years old.
Multiface and hdspe card are connected with original cable.

Can't directly say what revision hdspe card is, but according to the serial number it's not a card that needed fixing.

No adat or spdif is used.

OS is linux, hdsp drivers working perfectly for years.

The issue doesn't change with higher latency.
The pops & clicks seem very random. Sometimes there little clicks ,something there are massive clicks.
