Topic: ADI 2 DAC Volume Headphone

I‘ve two questions:

I would like to level my two headphones at 85 dB. Harm reduction for my ears. LCD X and HD800S
What would be the easiest way, without measuring. I would use the Efficiency parameters (dB/mW) from the manufactures — how could i get the mW power from Outputs of the ADI 2 DAC? Is it possible to convert the dB information of the display of the ADI 2 DAC to mW?

The IEM Output overrides with Distortion at maximum level. Because of what?

Kind, reagrds,

Re: ADI 2 DAC Volume Headphone

Calibrating headphones to 85 dBA is a task for interpretation and discussion. Opposed to speakers which are designed to be linear, phones are designed to be not linear. Additionally the manufacturer specs suffer from different ways that they were measured. I see no reliable way to reach a specific 'volume' just by data.

The IEM output distortion happens only when the output is supposed to be muted and driven at maximum level. That is normal behavior for the IEM output, sorry.
