Topic: RME HDSP 9652 settings RME AEB8/0

HEllo!

I'm trying to configure a set of cards HDSP 9652 and AEB8/O and encountered the problem of setting in Windows 10.

Re: RME HDSP 9652 settings RME AEB8/0

Its described in the Handbook page 15

Options
AEB activates the internal connector as ADAT1 input instead of the optical TOSLINK. An expansion board (AEB4-I, AEB8-I, TEB) can be connected here. TMS activates the transmission of Channel Status data and Track Marker information for the
SPDIF input.

You forgot to
1. set AEB in the driver settings dialog
2. select a Speaker Symbol in the Speakers TAB of the driver.

Once you select a WDM device as speaker then its visible / useable in the Windows Sound configuration, i.e. to configure it as default sound device for Windows and non-ASIO aware applications.

For ASIO aware applications (DAW, MusicBee, ...) better take the ASIO driver instead of WDM devices.

Once this runs, then pls read the Handbook for TotalMix FX operation.
You also can use these  sources of information:

1. This is a TM FX primer that I wrote
https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … rnal-equi/

2. These are very nice RME Tutorial Videos

1. I added in the Speaker ADAT 1 + 2
2. ticked the AEB

No sound.

What I'm doing is wrong, in Windows 7 before the drivers update and the flush worked fine!
