Topic: Plug in headphone, noise

Dear users,

If I plug in my Sennheiser HD800s or my Audeze LCD X to the ADI 2 DAC, I get some noise over the phones out. Same sound like if I plug in my e -guitar to my amplifier. Sounds weird - I think over a long term it's not good for the headphones. Am I wrong? And why can inexpensive amps (related to the DAC 2) handle the plug in without any noise.

Are you sure this noise is not from the source?

We had this topic before, bad power grid and earth situation. Connect the ADI to ground and the noise most probably goes away.

Guten Tag Herr Carstens,

besten Dank für die schnelle Antwort.

Ich habe die Quelle (USB) komplett entfernt. Das Gehäuse habe ich beim Einstecken berührt und nicht berührt. Ich habe einen anderen Strang der Steckdose benutzt. Es tritt lediglich am Phones Out auf, nicht am IEM Out. Was kann ich noch tun? Ist das Gerät defekt?

Da muss ich leider von ausgehen. Der von mir beschriebene Effekt tritt nur bei sehr empfindlichen Kopfhörern und In-Ears auf. Bei einem HD800(s) ist er nicht möglich.
