Topic: FireFace 400 knob not always working

I don't know if this is a TotalMix FX issue or a driver issue. Or even a MacOS issue...
TotalMix FX v1.5
FireFace Driver 3.35
Mac OSX 10.13.5
2012 MacBook Pro 2.3Ghz i7 quad core. 8Gb ram
I like to use the knob on the front of the FireFace to control things like my monitoring level. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It will never work without TotalMix FX open- it used to work on its own. And the graphics on TotalMix get kind of funky. Videos and images linked below:
