Topic: Is there who use ADI-2 Pro FS as ASIO audio interface on Cubase?

Hi,
I plan that buy ADI-2 Pro FS as ASIO audio interface on Cubase.
But I do not know latency.
I want know latency varue of VST Audio system panel on Cubase.

Thanks

On Nuendo reported by ASIO driver:

ASIO Buffer size: Input- / Output- / Total Latency (@44.1 kHz)
32   samples: 0,930 + 1,995 =   2,925 ms
128 samples: 3,107 + 4,172 =   7,279 ms
256 samples: 6,009 + 7,075 = 13,084 ms

You can do it this way but you need to consider, that everything has to be routed through the DAW.

For "near-zero" latency monitoring capabilities I would recommend to choose a combination
of recording interface with TotalMix FX and the ADI-2 Pro FS ADDA converter.

See also these two blog articles that I wrote around this topic:

The cheapest way would be using the Digiface USB as recording interface.

Thank you.
It was very helpful.

Hi,

I have a same plan as himaizumi:

I've been thinkin' to replace my current audio interface with ADI-2 PRO FS. I also have Cubase as my DAW. And as I already have Avalon preamps I don't want to buy any audio interface (w/ preamps) to be able to record with near-zero latency.

So, my question is: is it possible to connect either RME HDSP 9632 or 9652 (what's the difference?) to ADI-2 PRO FS, and if so, how?

You connect adi-2 pro fs to a digital port of the pcIe recording interface.

Like described in my blog article see my previous posting (#2) with the 2 URL's. I assume you didn't read it.

9652 3 adat and 1 spdif
9632 1 adat 1 spdif and stereo analogue in and out
