Topic: Computer noise leaking to speakers

Hello, i am a new and proud owner of the Fireface UCX.

I have computer noise leaking to the speakers, with the UCX being the connection other than power. So the hard disc working, scrolling of mouse, things happening on the screen, all is this is going to the speakers, and is making me wonder how to bypass it. Digicheck sees no activity on the analog outs that are connected to the speakers, so whence from is the noise? It is gone if i turn off the UCX..
Is it sent through power cables? Usb? Any idea how to get rid of it?

Thanks a lot,

Marko

Re: Computer noise leaking to speakers

The noise is sent through the shielding (ground) of the USB and then XLR cables. You can disconnect pin 1 on one side of your XLR cables (if used) to get rid of it.
