Topic: Digiface Dante - Question

Hi,

I am now using the digiface dante as an I/O Device for a Liveprofessor Setup with a digital Live Mixing desk. Basically a Siderack with Plugins. The I/O of the Danteface is feeding the Insertsends and Returns of my Digital Mixingdesk.

My Question is: If the Digiface Dante is powered by its own Powersupply and I loopback Madi-out to Madi-in, would the signals from the Desk be put through the Interface (Standalone-Mode) if the computer had a crash? Or does the Interface have to be disconnected from the USB completely?

Thanks,
andi

Re: Digiface Dante - Question

I would say that stand-alone mode can only be reached when USB is disconnected.

But you should be able to simulate this.
What happens if you boot your system and enter BIOS ?
Connect / disconnect USB .. does it make a difference to standalone mode ?

Re: Digiface Dante - Question

already tried it out. unfortunately doesnt work that way. If the computer crashes the digiface stays in usb mode and doesnt switch to standalone mode.
