Topic: Are the Digital Breakout cables for HDSP9652 and HDSP9632 the same?

Are the Digital Breakout cables for HDSP9652 and HDSP9632 the same? Could I use BO968 or BO9632 for the HDSP 9652 digital breakout? I prefer AES, but spdif would work too.

From page 86 in the hdsp9632_e pdf
Pin assignment of the 9-pin D-type connector, breakout cable SPDIF / AES
Note: The digital breakout cable is identical to the one used in the DIGI96 series.
1 GND
2 SPDIF Out +
3 SPDIF In +
4 AES Out +
5 AES In +
6 SPDIF Out -
7 SPDIF In -
8 AES Out -
9 AES In -

I couldn't find the pin assignment in the manual, but I found another post

ADAT Sync connector
Pin   Signal             Pin     Signal
9      SPDIF In +       5       SPDIF In -
6      SPDIF Out +     1       SPDIF Out -

They are not compatible.

Re: Are the Digital Breakout cables for HDSP9652 and HDSP9632 the same?

The BO9632 breakout cable is the analog i/o+midi, not digital audio i/o

The BO968 is a pure digital i/o - with duplicate 2-wire and 3-wire AES or S/PDIF connectors (AES or S/PDIf protocal selected from Hammerfall DSP settings dialog)

Re: Are the Digital Breakout cables for HDSP9652 and HDSP9632 the same?

Thanks for your reply. There are 2 breakout cables for the hdsp9632. One analog, one digital. My question was about the digital breakout cable.
