Topic: Babyface Pro: Problem after updating driver from v. 1.164 to 1.167

I've been running driver version 1.164 on my Babyface Pro with no problems, however the other day I updated to version 1.167 (the latest driver). Since then, when I boot my computer, in the status bar the symbol indicating audio has a red symbol next to it meaning, there is a problem with audio.

I found out I could "solve" the problem simply by unplugging the USB-cable from the Babyface Pro and re-inserting it. Then audio worked fine. However as my computer has also become unstable after installing driver version 1.167, I have had to take action. Therefore I have just now used the Windows 10-feature "roll back driver" to return to driver version 1.164 on Babyface Pro, and with that the problem has gone, meaning, there is no longer that red symbol next to the audio symbol in the status bar. Audio works fine, and machine seems stable.

Thus to recap:

- driver 1.164 rock solid on my system
- driver 1.167 gave audio problem + unstable computer
- rollback to driver 1.164 and system is again rock solid

My setup:
Babyface Pro
PC with Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit (latest updates)
Intel I7-4770 CPU at stock settings
Asus Z87-A motherboard
16 GB RAM

Let me know if there is any further info you need.

Thanks.

Did you check the output is not simply muted and needs reactivation? Driver 1.167 and 64 are nearly identical and do not include changes that could explain such a big change in behaviour.
