Topic: Problems with the regulation of volume and panorama on RME BABYFACE PR

Hello ! I have an important question about the USB interface RMS Babyface PRO.
For a number of reasons, I often need to very precisely adjust the value of panning on the outputs, primarily headphones. Suppose that in 90% of cases the optimal value on the controller in the driver (MAIN for headphones, but the same thing happens on analog outputs to studio monitors) 7 or 9. With software volume control these values remain the same. But as soon as I start to turn the volume wheel on the device, they switch to 6 or 9. If the value is 17 on the same right channel, then it automatically changes to 21 if I touch the volume knob. Tell me what to do? Panorama hardware, as I understand it, can only be adjusted while the Select button is held on the device. The function Total reset in the driver does not help, it only resets the volume settings on the channels. Previously this was not.

With deep respect, Vyacheslav.

Then you updated the driver? Which version of TotalMix FX are you using now?

Difference between L6 and L7: 0.1 dB on the right channel
Difference between L9 and 11: 0.2 dB on the right channel.

The BF Pro has its own level controller. It can have set gains remotely that are not available on the unit itself. Therefore whenever TM FX and wheel are used there will be very small adjustments. Over the years we have updated TM FX several times to optimize the synchronicity - better than now seems not possible.

If you had not seen the change in TM FX before it does not mean that it did not happen. You measured levels and tracked the behaviour? If you used your ears you will have failed (see values above).
