Topic: about crackle sound problem while recording

I bought new Fireface UFX2

I have recorded guitar and synth through analog input

While playing there is no problem on realtime monitor sound

however when I played the recorded track

I heard crackle sound like the buzz

It was same problem on Cubase, Presonus sequencer, Window recorder...etc...

I set the all 48khz and 24bit on fireface, cubase, window...

I don`t know reason why

How can I fix it? is it a hardware problem?

PS. My environment---------------------------------------------------------------

CPU : intel i9 9900k
Main board : Gigabyte z390 Aorus elite
Ram : DDR4 21300 32GB
Harddisk : SSD
OS : Window10
Audio interface : RME fireface UFX2

Re: about crackle sound problem while recording

Check in the RME settings window, whether you have USB transport failures.
Try every USB port of your systems.
Those coming from Chipset should always be supported.

Re: about crackle sound problem while recording

If what Ramses said does not work out, in the RME settings window, try also to increase your buffer settings, if you have lots of plugins enabled in your mix.
That, of course, will increase your latency as well. So you should be lowering your buffer settings for recording and increasing it for mixing.

Hope this helps!
