Topic: what size interleaved files?

Hi, we have been trying out a HDSPe MADI card for recording live perfromances - this creates an extrememly large interleaved file of up to 90gig for a typical performance over two hours with over 50 tracks in Digicheck. This size file doesn't seem to open successfully as a multitrack in Cubase -has anyone had problems importing large interleaved files into other multitracking programmes??

Why not save as single channel files, then import...

Re: what size interleaved files?

I have the same Problem with interleaved Wave Files, recorded with DC 5.0.

My Record has a lenght of ca. 1:50h with 48 Channels of 48kHz/24Bit (45Gb). When I try to import it with Cubase 5 the result is a bundle of Single-Channel Monofiles with a length of only 10 Minutes.

The way to save as single files in DC works fine. But I think interleaved Wave is a good Format to share big Multichannel-Records between different platforms, because you have all tracks in a single container. It would be great, when Cubase were able do open large files recorded by DC.
