Topic: Problem with audio / sound card

Hi,

I'm building together my new machine and I've came across one problem I'm unable to solve.

PC Spec:
Intel core i7, Gigabyte GA EX58 UD3R ; Windovs XP sp3 ;
RME 96/8 ; Cubase 5 ; UAD 2 QUAD.
Driver: W2K 211 zip

Machine is set up working fine and system doesn't give my any error.
Problem is only when I play sound in Cubase. I import any WAV file and high frequence sound is missing.
When I select in Cubase onboard sound card and play sound then everything plays fine, so this means that WAV files didn't get corrupted on import. I've also put sound card into other computer and in there it all runs well, so this means the sound card is not damaged.

Have anyone ever came across something similar?
Is Driver working correctly or is there some problem with sound card not being compatible with my new hardware?

Can anyone please help? I've totally run out of the options now sad

Many thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

Rasto

Hello,

make sure you've not ticked the card's "Emphasis" option.

Hi,
I've checked and I've got 'Profesional' option selected.
Thank you for you reply. Do you have any other ideas?
