Topic: AS 1/2 in TotalMix - what is it?

A newby question I know :   Just got TotalMix and just cannot work out what the As 1/2 is - can anyone advise?

In the Software Playback (I'm using Cubase) its showing output from that source - which confuses me even more :-)

What RME device do you have ?

Ahaa, right it must be the SPDIF as there also other channels for ADAT.

I don't have anything attached to the SPDIF, so I can't work out why that channel shows activity ... is it supposed to by default or have I clicked something I didn't know about :-) ?   Perhaps I'm routing something there, without realising I had done so ...
