Topic: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

Hi,

in short, the RME driver is not signed in clean installs of newest Windows 10.

Would someone please check the v4.15 driver signing on clean install of Windows 10 x64 with UEFI and Secure Boot.
See here for why.
They mention kernel-mode drivers, I'm not sure that should apply so I'm a bit uncertain why my audio driver is unsigned.

Windows upgrade from an older version is probably fine, as mentioned in that article, so be sure to try it fresh.

Let me know if you need more info, or if someone else has it working without disabling Driver Signature enforcement or Secure Boot.

Thanks.

Hello, I have the same Problem. Clean new win10, and the newest driver will not work. Digital signature error.

Is there any solution?

Please disable Secure Boot in Bios until such a driver is available.

Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

Thanks Matthias. Unfortunately with my Asus board secure boot is locked so I'm kinda at the mercy of when Microsoft wants to ruin everyone's day:)

I am pretty sure it is not locked. Change the hard drive boot method to Uefi & Legacy, and Secure boot will be disabled while you can still boot your Windows as usual.

Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

jrasia which mobo exactly do you have?
for ex. my ASUS X99-S has one settings for UEFI/Legacy and then another settings for Windows/OtherOS smile

HDSPe AIO, ADI-2 DAC, Fireface UFX, Octamic D, Octamic II
Reaper, High Sierra

Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

It's an Asus x99 a II
Had to do some googling, but with this board it's not just a simple matter of enabling or disabling secure boot. First you have to delete the PK keys for secure boot, then you can disable it fully.

All is well again.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

Same problem here. Just bought a secondhand HDSP 9632.
Downloaded the latest v4.15 driver but it doesn't work, reports a problem with signing.
I downloaded the v4.12 driver instead - no problems.
This is on Windows 7 64bit.

Re: Windows 10 Version 1607 driver signing changes

Hello,

one workaround until the drives have been updated you can follow this instruction to disable the signature enforcement:

Under Windows 7 you need to update your Windows, see other threads.
