Topic: Klanghelm VU

I'm using the above. In Logic, all is well when mixing. I use direct monitoring via TotalMix rather than Logic software monitoring when I record, so obviously, the meter will not work in Logic. However, the Klanghelm meter works as a standalone and integrates perfectly with channels 1-8 on my UFX, with a 1kHz tone at -18dbFS reading 0dB. However, when I look at Channel 9 it reads -6dB for some reason. Any ideas? Thanks.
PS. It would be great if TotalMix allowed plugin option for meters such as this!

Re: Klanghelm VU

Just a longshot:

The cable on channel 9 has one pin disconnected. That would result in a loss of 6 dB.

Try another cable?

Supposing you are doing this with hardware and not with a loopback in software...

Re: Klanghelm VU

Thanks Cyrano,
If that was the case then peak would be down by 6dB too. I have the same issue on Channel 10. Haven't checked 11-12 but may be the same as 9-12 have different analogue stages to 1-8. However, I don't understand why this would lead to different digital VU levels.
