Topic: Adi 642 info request

Hi there,
I am new to MADI I just have an adi 642 MADI/aes3 conversion unit. I'm trying to implement it within a broadcast infrastructure using the SSLhd 10 c console as the MADI output to the rme adi642.

Do I need any other interface?

Could I control the totalmix software using a laptop bias rs232?

Where can I download the drivers
and firmware for the adi 642?
Can I use a motu 896mk3 as an output sending adat through optical cable to received at the adi 642 input?
I'm not pretty sure as I've read that MADI is a point to point transmission

The 642 is a dedicated MADI/AES converter. It has no computer interface, therefore neither driver nor TotalMix. And it also has no ADAT I/O. See here:
