Topic: Multiface 1 as standalone

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I would like some info.
I can buy a secondhand Multiface 1 which I would like to use to as a stand alone digits converter from SPDIF/RCA to SPDIF optical.
My question:
Is it possible to configure the Multiface using another laptop  (a friend of mine could arrange this for me)
then:
Unpower the Multiface,
take it home and
and use it as a standalone converter?
Or:
what happens when I unplug the Multiface 1? Does it loose all his settings and do I have to reconfigure it ? Or do I get the last configuration when I plug it in? Will it convert SPDIF/RCA to SPDIF optical? The manual is not 100% clear about this.
Thanks for any help,
Koen

Re: Multiface 1 as standalone

It will only retain its settings when turned on. As soon as there is no power the setting are gone.
