Topic: Firefac UFX Optical

I am trying to connect a gaming console to my Fireface UFX to get output to my monitors through spdif, but it don't seem like the Fireface are picking up any signal that indicates audio. Any suggestions?

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

The gaming console might send a surround signal in AC-3 format. Try to change that to stereo.

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

I have tried it. I have connected it to ADAT 1, but no signal is shown in ADAT 1/2 in TotalMix.

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

Does the Settings dialog say that you have an SPDIF input signal? You have to set stereo in your GAMING CONSOLE, then use the correct SPDIF input at the UFX (which is ADAT 2).

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

I have now plugged the Optical cabel from my Xbox to ADAT2 input.
On the Xbox One Optical sound is set to Stereo uncompressed.

This is how the TotalMix looks like.

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

The Settings dialog, not the TotalMix Settings...

And revert that Listenback entry to None or you will get problems later on,.

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

Thank you that worked! smile I reverted the Listenback entry. Can leaving it there cause hardware problems?

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

Input is not in Sync because Clock Source is not set to AES/SPDIF. 'Sample rate' should match the one reported from input.

Re: Firefac UFX Optical

Ok, do I don't have to worry that I can have done any harm to the interface due to the input listenback setting? I thik it only was there for an hour.
