Topic: RME BABYFACE PRO STATIC (high noise)

Hello so I have a babyface pro

Gaming PC > USB > Babyface pro > XLR out (noise)
Gaming PC > USB > Babyface pro > optical out (noise)
Gaming PC > USB > Babyface pro > 3.5mm out (noise)
Gaming PC > USB > Babyface pro > quarter jack out (noise)

Here's what I tried
- Different USB ports (front, back, even 6ft away usb hub)
- AC Power
- Different outputs (optical, 3.5mm, quarter jack and xlr)

I made a small video of the sound static..

if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

would like to bump this...

i bought a $9 ground loop isolator from amazon.. reduced 98% of the static noise

Re: RME BABYFACE PRO STATIC (high noise)

You have a bad ground loop. Difficult to trouble shoot from a distance...

Since it's a gaming PC, I'd check BIOS settings first. Overclocked hardware has been known to whine a lot. But this is to eliminate the source.

You also need to figure out the path the interference follows to get into the audio. Presumably, that's the USB connection.

Is all hardware connected to the same grounded mains supply?

No breaks in the grounding?
