Topic: Loud pop over headphone when powering on my PC

Hello.

I use HDSPe AIO, and leave headphone plugged in.  There is a loud pop over headphone when powering on my PC.  It seems like there is electricity (DC) leaked in.   Will this harm my expensive headphone in the long run?  What can I do to prevent this beside unplugging my headphone every time I turn on my PC.

Best,

It will not harm your headphones, and there is indeed nothing you can do except unplugging.

Normal, just lower the volume down to  zero or unplug the headphones on bootup.

Re: Loud pop over headphone when powering on my PC

I am also having this issue, with the HDSP 9632. The pop is very loud and I am worrying that it will affect the headphones. It still happens when I mute the phones via Hammerfall's control panel. I could unplug the headphones everytime, but it's a little tiring since they connect to the back of a PC tower, among other cables..!

It doesn't happen if I connect the headphones to the computer's motherboard headphone output, so it seems to be related to the RME card.

Any ideas?
