Topic: Playback speed and click problem

Hi
I moved to a new place and connected today my studio:

RME UCX
Windows 7

Usb connection on hub. Cable lenght 10 meters.

Now when i play a mp3, it starts normal then i hear some click and later it changes the speed of the track. it gets faster and faster and then it drops to normal speed until this starts again.

i saw for a short time that the sample rate changed automatically in the prefs.

Any Help :-(((

Connect the UCX directly with a standard 2 m cable, check again.

Ok thanks.
Tried the old 5meter usb cable and works fine.
Now in my new studio i need a longer usb cable. do i have to put another hub between two 5meter cables to support them
with extra power ?

what would be a good solution?

An active extension cable, available at a low price with lengths of 10 meter and more.
