Topic: What is the analog output sound quality between ADI-2 Pro & ADI-2 DAC?

I want to know for ADI2 DAC and ADI2 PRO  by using xlr/rca hifi power amp connection, which one has a better quality in sound?

Re: What is the analog output sound quality between ADI-2 Pro & ADI-2 DAC?

Compare both devices if they have all the inputs and outputs that you require.
If the ADI2 DAC has all the inputs and outputs that you need, then the ADI2 DAC should be the way to go for you.
From D/A conversion quality you could ready from RME responses, its basically the same converter, same quality.

The differences, advantage for you (assuming you are HiFi, not studio customer) is:
- cabling with the ADI2 DAC, you can use pure RCA hifi cables without requiring to buy XLR to RCA
- remote control with the ADI2 DAC
- slightly enhanced Steadyclock version
- additional heaphone plugs optimized for in ear devices
- lower price as it leaves out IO ports more feasible for studio

What might be missing for you with the ADI-2 DAC are analog inputs if you need them i.e. for digitalizing stuff from analog sources, i.e. from a turntable device connected to HiFi and if you have only an analog AUX output on your HiFi.
If you have digital outputs (optical or coaxial SPDIF) then you can plug them to to the ADI2 DAC.
