Topic: Understanding of DAW Playback Channels

I‘ve read a lot of tutorials about the “Software Playback” Fader section, but it seems not quite clear to me:
The channel headers read “AN1/2”, “AN3/4” and so on.
I can choose them as external output in my DAW (Ableton Live), but have sound for channels 1-8 only. Up from channel “AN9/10” there are still flashing meters in Live, but not in the “Software Playback” section in TMFX.
I’d like to control about 20 stereo channels from the DAW in TMFX.
The purpose is, to record not just a stereo mix from the DAW but single stereo tracks for all channels in Durec.
I’m confused...

Re: Understanding of DAW Playback Channels

Okay, so far I managed the software playback single channels to work though I still have no clue why it was not working in the beginning. In my opinion the fact that the software playback channel tags have no meaning at all is really confusing and it is nowhere explained. That is really confusing.
