Topic: Fireface UFX II...print reverb?

Just wondering, in Totalmix for the Fireface UFX II, is the reverb FX able to be printed?

Thanks

Re: Fireface UFX II...print reverb?

Not directly.

However, you can do so using the Loopback feature in TotalMix FX. This one overwrites the input signal with whatever mix is present at the corresponding output channel. For instance, make a mix on AES out, apply reverb etc. then activate Loopback. Now if you record AES in, you get the full mix on AES out, including any effects applied in TotalMix.

Thanks Jeff. Is that the same principle whereby you print the eq and compression? Or are the eq and compression FX actually able to be printed directly?

Yes, there is a switch in Fireface USB Settings, EQ + D for Record.

Re: Fireface UFX II...print reverb?

Thanks again. Just curious, why there wasn't a similar switch for reverb to be printed? Is that because reverb is generally something you never really want to print?

Re: Fireface UFX II...print reverb?

Because the reverb is not limited to one input (pair), the eq and compressors are. Put another way, EQ and comp are insert FX, reverb and delay send fx
