Topic: Nuendo with RME RayDat digital crackle noise after few minutes

Hi
is anyone have similar setup with this problem ?
Nuendo and raydat last drivers/firmware updates.after few minutes of using,it crackles, and i have to do the reset button in nuendos studio setup to play without the noise for every few minutes.
when playing files with media player it does not occur.
win10, two raydat cards install.cpu and asio meter not overloaded
Any Idea ?

Are the two cards synchronized ? If yes, how.

raydat 1 has 16 out and 8 ins connected to adat converter
raydat 2 has 16 out adat converter connected
working at 96KHZ 32 out in total.

no other external BNC, AES connected
1 WDM enabled for windows media playing(can cause issues with ASIO driver? )

Edit: i have missed it ? should the raydat 2 sync source should be "Sync in" instead of internal ?

Re: Nuendo with RME RayDat digital crackle noise after few minutes

One card needs to be master, the other(s) slave.
From master you need a digital connection to the slave card.
Either via ADAT, AES or by using Word Clock (WC).
The card which acts as master needs to have clock set to "internal".
The card which acts as slave needs to have clock set to either ADAT1 IN .. ADAT4 IN, AES IN, SPDIF IN, ... depending on which digital input the card receives clock from the master card.

@Jeff: BTW, why sync in ? He didn't mention an internal link between the cards.

long time since install those, i checked the cards and the internal 3 pin sync cable is there, out connector from the master raydat to IN connector on the slave raydat.
seems to be OK now' need to test it for few days to be sure.
thanks
