Topic: RME ADI-648 Latency

Sorry if this is a stupid question but will the ADI-648 conversion add latency?
Or in general, Does any digital format conversion add latency? I can't find an answer to this question anywhere.

A simple format conversion usually happens in real-time (0 samples delay). The delay = latency in the ADI-648 is mainly the receivers and transmitters and around 3 samples IIRC.
