Topic: How does standby works

I have a silly question. I want my whole music setup (rapsPi, DAC ,PowerAmp) to activate by a WIFI plug. Thus, I would like to understand how the ADI-2 DAC behaves if it is tuned on via a WIFI plug. I would like it to automatically wake up when a SPDIF-Coax singnal is comming from the rasPI without me pressing any button on the DAC. Would that work? Or do I need to activate (wake up) the ADI-2 DAC by pressing any button?

Thanks.

Re: How does standby works

The ADI will wake up if it was turned on when you cut power before. Which would be the case with such a solution, it seems.

Thanks for the fast reply. Sounds perfect.

Re: How does standby works

Just to let you know I use my ADI-2 DAC with a wifi plug (TP-Link HS100) and it works exactly as described. I have the plug connected to a mains extension strip to which is connected poweramps, subwoofer, and ADI-2 DAC. When I switch the wifi plug on the ADI-2 DAC boots up and starts working from the USB of my Mac Mini and the poweramps and sub.
