Topic: Babyface Pro Stereo panning by itself

Hi there,

I hope this finds you well...

I'm having an issue where my BBF Pro is panning to the side on the master.

I check it every now and then and it's panned, and i have to pan it back...

Is there anything I'm doing wrong that may be causing it to pan by itself? Like some kind of automation or some such evil gremlin?

Hi MC, thanks for your reply.

So are you saying that my MIDI controller could be inadvertently controlling the pan function?

Interesting! That could well be it. Do you have any tips for how I could trouble shoot this, and/or deactivate the MIDI control? I'm satisfied with the controls on the BBFPRO for now.

I MC, I tried to disable the MIDI option, but I'm still getting the seemingly random panning.

I'm not sure how to stop MIDI from being accepted by the BBFPRO

Is it "disable MIDI in background"? I had a look in the manual, but I couldn't resolve it yet.

Open TotalMix FX while changing the main volume at the unit. Dial it up and down, quick and slow. Sometimes Pan will start to have an offset, because the communication between BF Pro and TotalMix FX through the computer is not as smooth as it should be. Either because USB itself is lacking, or too many other devices are on the same bus.
