Topic: ADI2 problem

i bought a used adi2 dac and i use it with digital output from my motherboard with  Realtek® ALC1150 Codec ... the problem is that  one channel is a lot louder than other, the left output of dac is different... if i correct it with balance options of mixer there is no problems and the output is good in both channel.

I tried coaxial and optical , same problem.
I change cable and monitor, same output same problem.

What is the problem, i'm fear of some output problem in the left channel that is less loud than right.

Manual page 27. Do the reset described there:

If the problem stays revers-plug the output cables only on the DAC. If the level stays low on the same channel the problem is your amp or speakers.

You wrote "adi2 dac" in Posting #1. That was misleading, because there is also a new product called ADI-2 DAC ;-)

Sorry I don't know if also the ADI-2 has some reset procedures. I would guess not, because it has only a few knobs and encoders in the front, no deep configuration menues with lot of settings.

Re: ADI2 problem

An older ADI-2 (not DAC) might have problems with dryed-out capacitors at the outputs. That would be easy to repair.

Re: ADI2 problem

I found a new problem, a noise without signal is more than usual and it stop after around 10second of silence. No noise if i use -10dbv output. I'm using optical in.
