Topic: Hardware Input Gain rising on there own

I am assuming this is a feedback loop but there are a few things that confuse me.  I have not been able to trigger this issue on my own.  It has only occurred when I am calling someone on FB.  My audio in when chatting on the fb app using my computer is SM57 -> A&H ZED14FX mixer -> RME BabyfacePro - > laptop/fb convo.

I start the convo and watch the gain controls on both the AN1 and AN2 Hardware inputs.  They are set at a gain of 0.... 10 seconds into the conversation I watch the gain controls wind-up to infinity and the feedback loop begins.

Only happens when I call people on FB.  What am I missing?

Re: Hardware Input Gain rising on there own

Are you talking about the round gain knob that goes up to +65 dB?

Check that both MIDI and OSC control are disabled in the Options menu. Then go to Preferences and disable ASIO Direct Monitoring.

Re: Hardware Input Gain rising on there own

So I have disabled both MIDI and OSC controls but I actually cannot find ASIO Direct Monitoring anywhere?
