Topic: Babyface Pro Sound Question

Hi,

Recently I bought a used RME Babyface Pro from 2016.
In 2018 I had a NEW Babyface Pro but I sold it. (I did not used more than 5 hours)

I noticed a very interesting thing: The two unit (the 2016 used and 2018 new) sounds very different:
The 2018 new unit sounded very transparent lot of high frequencies while the 2016 version with more analog sound not so transparent and not so much high frequencies.

Is that possible?

Is that possible that the heavy usage decreases the sound quality or sound characteristics?

Hello,

no, there should not be any such phenomenon, and the sound does not change with usage.
Perhaps you had te EQ active on the earlier unit?

the eq was flat in earlier unit.
