Topic: ADI-2 PRO FS getting hot Silver VS Black
My new ADI-2 PRO FS silver color is getting hot. One of my friend who bought a new ADI-2 PRO FS Black told his ADI-2 not getting hot. Is the new ADI-2 PRO FS Black new design with hot issue fix?

There is no fix other than replacing a broken component. If you think your unit gets too hot you can send it in for a check. If a fault is found it is fixed for free (warranty).
How hot is normal? For example, is 43 °C on the top in a 25 °C room normal? Around 46 °C on the bottom. Hot to the touch but not painful. That's with 4 cm separation between the ADI-2 Pro FS and an SPL Phonitor XE beneath it (the Phonitor is at ~36 °C). I am still used to the ADI-2 DAC which does not run hot at all.
The Pro runs more hot as the DAC because it draws/consumes more power. 43° on top seems pretty normal.
