Topic: Simulating inputs with digicheck playback.

Is there a way to have digicheck playback a recording so that the playback is routed through the inputs? I use a 3rd party app to mix live sound with and it would be awesome to use digicheck to record a sound check and then use the recording to playback the recorded soundcheck (ie: a virtual band) so I can further adjust EQ and Dynamics on my mixing app.

Yes, you can... The feature you're looking for is "loopback" within Totalmix... Watch those videos and a lot will be clearer...: http://www.rme-audio.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5039

I'm curious: What software do you use for live mixing?

I'm using Software Audio Console - http://www.softwareaudioconsole.com/

Thanks.

Re: Simulating inputs with digicheck playback.

I did some searching on the loopback function and I've seen some reports that it doesn work with the HDSP 9652 cards, which is what I have. Is this true?

Re: Simulating inputs with digicheck playback.

Yes, the HDSP 9652 doesn't support loopback.

That's too bad.

Thanks.

Re: Simulating inputs with digicheck playback.

use one of ADAT ports to loopback in by hardwired toslink, then Totalmix to route I/O's
just a piece of cake
100% versatile

Yeah, I suppose that would work. I was hoping to not have to unplug / replug cables.
