Topic: Support for GNU & Linux

Hello, my friends!

This brand is very new to me and I started to love it because of this list:
http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index. … Vendor-RME

The well know ALSA project supports you and that is great. Then, after checking out the website to see which interface fits me best, I discovered that you don't support the Fireface 800!

How can that be? Please, I know many of you ignore this but:

1. We have a great DAW
http://ardour.org/

2. Tons of software plugins and instruments

3. A team willing to work on firewire support for linux

4. A great virtual audio connection kit
http://jackaudio.org/

5. Great audio plugin software

Come on, why isn't there support? You, RME, can offer all this added value to your hardware... Please, do the little extra work of collaborating with FFADO!

Here's a contact form:

I hope you, guys, come to your senses!

Re: Support for GNU & Linux

It's a pity...

It seems on fado, that fireface 400 is on the way, but things seem to take time. I xould be also very happy that RME collaborate extensively with the linux community.

ps : there is a linux topic for thins kind of request.

Re: Support for GNU & Linux

Oh yes! I noticed just after posting this article wink

Yes, I would love to ask RME to collaborate a bit more extensively with FFADO and ALSA so that they can work to bring the support needed for GNU & Linux!

We, all, would love to see this happen! wink
